My name is Shadow and I will be your flight Commander as we study and play in outer Space! We will have fun. I am a purebred Pekingese with a domineering personality (so they say) but I like to lay out on the patio and dream of visiting those beautiful stars!

Let's have lots of participation and I hope you will send me your ideas, your "missions" and anything else you would like to contribute.

We'll investigate the knowledge covering general truths, better known as Science. Without Science, dogs would still be huddled in cold, dark caves trying to catch and eat food many times their size.
Most dogs already know a lot about Science, but probably didn't realize how smart we really are. Here we'll be able to show how much we know.

We'll also explore the realm of Science Fiction and discover how the dreams and imagination of others have become real in our world today.
So, put your thinking caps on doggies, and get ready to "blast off!"

You will receive a Badge of Achievement for each Mission that is completed. And you will be able to advance through the ranks by earning Badges, being a guest lecturer on a branch of Science, or giving a book report or writing a short story about Science Fiction.

(1) Option # 1 -- Command a Special Section in Dogs in Space, such as Sky Watch, or Astronomy, Chemistry or Science subject of your choice, with monthly reports. You may also continue to earn Badges.
(2) Option # 2 -- Continue earning Badges and Badge Credits and advance through the categories of Spaceships. You may give your ship a name.
The categories of Spaceships are:

Shuttle -- 24 Badges and/or credits
Scout -- 27 Badges and/or credits
Cargo Ship -- 30 Badges and/or credits
Fighter -- 33 Badges and/or credits
Cruiser -- 36 Badges and/or credits
